Joint Replacement Brochure
The chief of orthopedic surgery at Boston Medical Center was looking to update a booklet for patients undergoing knee and hip replacement. Felix worked directly with the orthopedic team to rewrite, design, translate (six languages, including Vietnamese, cover shown here) and print a new 28-page version of the booklet. In tandem, we created a video for their patient class using their PowerPoint presentation paired with a voiceover recorded with their educator.
Book of Remembrance
The Massachusetts Center for Unexpected Child and Infant Death creates an annual booklet for grieving parents that features a memorial page for each child. They had previously created this booklet in-house, but were looking for a more polished feel. Felix was honored to design and print this special booklet in 2023 and 2024.

Community Health Collateral
When UVA Health acquired a regional health system, they needed to update their patient brochures with UVA branding and language. Felix worked closely with the UVA team to help identify which brochures needed updating, and then collaborated with individual stakeholders across several community hospital locations to rewrite and redesign more than 30 brochures, table tents, rack cards and flyers in English and Spanish.
Annual Program Report
We regularly produce programs and reports for our clients. ForHealth Consulting at UMass Chan Medical School needed to report out on a program overseen by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Working within their tight deadline, Felix designed and copyedited this 12-page program.
Quit Smoking Workbook
StayWell needed a brochure about quitting smoking for one of their clients, but there was a catch: The entire brochure needed to be written at a 4th to 6th grade reading level. Felix worked directly with StayWell editors and their client to research and write copy for the 68-page brochure, keeping within the reading level guidelines.
Research Report
The Boston University Photonics Center hired Felix to write the two feature articles for, as well as copyedit and design, their 2022 annual report. We followed their established brand standards and delivered the 72-page report, which included lab photos, scientific articles, infographics, charts, bios, publication citations and other elements.
